Annual General Meeting
The AGM was held at the Mont Clare Hotel on 22nd October. Decisions include a change of name to Irish Fencing Federation, the new name will come into use once it has been formally recognised by the Companies Office. A proposal to change the voting system was also passed, more details will be posted here shortly.
The 2006-2007 Committee was elected, full list of names available here.

World Championships 2006Well done to Siobhan - 29th in the world...Having recovered from a recent injury, Siobhan gave a strong performance in the poules allowing her to pass the last 96 into the last 64. Siobhan had a fine start early this morning (while most of us were still having breakfast!), with a victory over Italy's Loreta Gulotta (15-10). She established an early lead in her next bout but following the first break her opponent, Korean Hye Lim Kim, who eventually placed 3rd in the competition, turned the match around, achieving a 15-10 victory. |
