The AGM was held at the Mont Clare Hotel on 22nd October. Decisions include a change of name to Irish Fencing Federation, the new name will come into use once it has been formally recognised by the Companies Office. A proposal to change the voting system was also passed, more details will be posted here shortly.

14th October - First squad funding awards announced [More]

• Bristol Open (Sabre): Kit Rumney placed 20th in Sabre, putting him at #29 in the UK rankings.
• Mellansvenska mästerskapen (Sabre): Marcos Simpson 3rd (in Sabre of course) at the Mid -Sweden Championships,October 1st. Nice one!

Well done to Siobhan - 29th in the world... Having recovered from a recent injury, Siobhan gave a strong performance in the poules allowing her to pass the last 96 into the last 64. Siobhan had a fine start early this morning (while most of us were still having breakfast!), with a victory over Italy's Loreta Gulotta (15-10). She established an early lead in her next bout but following the first break her opponent, Korean Hye Lim Kim, who eventually placed 3rd in the competition, turned the match around, achieving a 15-10 victory.
